The Ministry of Health has introduced an online platform for epidemiological investigations, streamlining the reporting process for healthcare professionals to the Public Health Directorate. This initiative enables quick and easy reporting of infectious diseases from various health authorities, fostering a more efficient exchange of information.

The platform aims to enhance the monitoring of infectious diseases in Bahrain, facilitating prompt and effective measures for preventing and controlling their dissemination. Dr. Mohamed Abdulmajeed Alawadhi, the Director of the Public Health Directorate, highlighted that the platform connects both government and private health facilities with the Directorate, enabling the rapid reporting of detected infectious diseases.

Approximately 80 health facilities, including clinics and hospitals, have been trained by the directorate and provided with special electronic login keys to expedite the reporting process for any infectious diseases. The implementation of this platform is expected to have a significant impact on public health by enabling early detection of infectious diseases and facilitating timely preventative measures to control their spread throughout the Kingdom.
