Dr. Khalid Ahmed Hassan, Undersecretary for Agriculture and Marine Resources at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, conducted an inspection visit to Budaiya Fishing Port.

During the visit, Dr. Khalid reiterated the ministry's commitment to enhancing its collaboration with the private sector for the investment in fishing ports across different regions of the Kingdom.

The undersecretary emphasized that the Agriculture and Marine Resources Affairs oversees fishing ports in various locations within the Kingdom and is actively working on initiating investment projects to enhance the development of these ports.

He further explained that the primary objective of these projects is to maximize the benefits derived from the assets of the Agriculture and Marine Resources Affairs. This strategic approach aims to support endeavors in advancing these sectors, crucial elements in the overall efforts to achieve sustainable food security for Bahrain.

Dr. Khalid underscored the Agriculture and Marine Resources Affairs's dedication to fostering partnerships with the private sector, emphasizing that these collaborations are designed to benefit Bahraini fishermen. He assured that the ministry will persist in launching programs and initiatives geared towards the development of the fishing sector and the support of Bahraini individuals employed within it.
