Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 Ministerial Meeting Strengthens Strategic Ties

On Monday, the Seventh Ministerial Meeting of the Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 took place in Saudi Arabia, presided over by Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Falih, Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Ken Saito, and Japanese Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Fukazawa Yoichi. The meeting aimed to bolster the strategic partnership between the two nations across various sectors. Al Falih highlighted the meeting's significance as the inaugural ministerial gathering following the launch of the vision's second chapter by leaders in July.

The forum resulted in the signing of minutes, encompassing joint initiatives and 13 agreements and memoranda of understanding with Japanese entities, spanning water, financial services, communications, IT, energy, and healthcare. Additionally, three significant projects in construction technology, tourism, and entertainment were announced.

The discussions explored collaboration in healthcare and water sectors, technology and innovation in enhancing efficiency, and opportunities for partnerships in mega projects such as NEOM, the Red Sea, and Qiddiya. The forum concluded with an emphasis on the importance of innovation in the space sector.
