Deputy Chief of Public Security, Major-General Abdullah Al Zayed, announced that several restaurants and tourism facilities were shut down for violating precautionary measures against COVID-19.
Individuals not wearing masks were fined and appropriate steps were taken to ensure adherence to social distancing. The inspections were part of law enforcement efforts to tackle COVID-19 pandemic. Police directorates and security authorities were involved in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority.
The Deputy Chief stressed the importance of following instructions and the medical team's recommendation to contribute to the success of fighting the pandemic and protect the health and safety of the public.
