New Passports Rule

THE Interior Minister has issued an order, published in the Official Gazette, to add a new provision to the rules governing passports, authorising the General Directorate of Immigration and Passports to require applicants for passport issuance or replacement to enclose a DNA testing report for children born out of Bahrain to support biological relationship (direct or collateral kinship). The report may be required in other cases as deemed necessary .
