Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Ministry of Labour hosted its 38th annual ceremony to honor exceptional and dedicated employees as well as distinguished establishments in the private sector.

Conducted in celebration of the Kingdom of Bahrain's national days, the anniversary of His Majesty the King's Accession to the Throne, and associated national events, the ceremony acknowledged outstanding national workforce members, human resources officials, business leaders, and distinguished establishments and workers across various productive and economic sectors in the kingdom's labor market.

The event was attended by ministers, members of the Council of Representatives and the Shura Council, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, Sameer Abdulla Nass, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as heads and representatives of federations and trade unions, prominent commercial, economic, and social personalities, along with honored workers and representatives of the honored companies.

In his address, Minister of Labour Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan expressed sincere gratitude to HM the King for endorsing the annual event, emphasizing the royal commitment to honoring diligent and distinguished workers, administrators, and employers who serve as role models for dedication and contribution at various work and production sites.

Minister Humaidan highlighted the ceremony's goal to recognize and honor exceptional national talents, create more opportunities, increase quality employment rates for graduates, refine their education and training experiences, and motivate establishments to invest in the development of their national workforce.

He underscored the role of newly launched programs in boosting employment and career development opportunities for Bahrainis in the private sector, specifically mentioning initiatives by the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) targeting 50,000 Bahrainis annually. These programs aim to support the labor market by creating quality opportunities, fostering career development, and enhancing enterprise support schemes to boost the private sector's competitiveness and economic role.

Minister Humaidan commended the ongoing cooperation among the government, employers, and employees, noting their joint efforts to turn challenges into opportunities and consolidate principles of social dialogue to generate more quality job opportunities for citizens in the labor market.

Representing the honorees, Shaima Sayed Baqer Hassan expressed gratitude for HM King Hamad's continued support, affirming that the royal patronage underscores the consistent backing for the national workforce and institutions contributing to the nation's development. She expressed pride in being honored and emphasized that recognizing outstanding employees and establishments serves as motivation for others to dedicate themselves to serving the kingdom.

Minister Jameel Humaidan and Undersecretary HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa then presented the honorees with appreciation certificates and commemorative shields. The list of honorees included outstanding individuals and distinguished establishments across various economic and production sectors, recognizing pioneers, institutions cooperating with the Labour Ministry, establishments training job-seekers, small enterprise owners, distinguished directors, and supporters of people of determination. The honorees also included workers in the non-organized economy, oil and gas, manufacturing industries, transportation, telecommunications, banking, finance, insurance, contracting, trade, tourism, and emerging professions attracting the national workforce.
