Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS), presided over the regular board meeting. In attendance were Ali bin Mohammed Murad, the First Vice Chairman, along with board members Taqi Mohammed Al-Baharna, Dr. Faisal Al-Musawi, Hassan Ali Juma, Dr. Fawzi Amin, Dr. Kawthar Al-Eid, and the Society's Secretary General, Mubarak Al-Hadi.

Dr. Shaikh Mohammed Al Khalifa commended the late Khalil bin Mohammed Al-Muraikhi, recognizing his role as the Second Vice Chairman, founding member, and former financial secretary who recently passed away. Al-Muraikhi's significant contributions, both as a financial secretary since the Society's inception and in various voluntary capacities, were acknowledged. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed Al Khalifa praised Al-Muraikhi's dedication and expressed admiration for his service.

The Board Chairman acknowledged BRCS's impactful contributions to humanitarian and relief initiatives within Bahrain. He highlighted the Society's ongoing support for aiding the needy, both domestically and internationally, emphasizing its effective role in diverse segments of society. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed Al Khalifa commended the performance of the executive body, affiliates, and volunteers, encouraging the involvement of more young volunteers with a focus on training and qualification.

Hassan Ali Jumaa, the Financial Secretary, briefed the board on relief efforts extended to the Palestine Red Crescent Society, the Libyan Red Crescent, and the Moroccan Red Crescent in response to crises in those countries.

Mubarak Al-Hadi, the Secretary General, outlined the Social Services Committee's preparations for distributing assistance in the upcoming Ramadan. Scheduled for February 2024, the aid distribution aims to reach eligible recipients before the holy month, aligning with the Society's commitment to humanitarian objectives. Al-Hadi emphasized the importance of volunteer work, expressing a keen interest in training and qualifying volunteers for various roles to ensure high-quality humanitarian services following international standards.
