The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has reported the execution of 1,467 inspection campaigns and visits from December 24 to December 30, 2023. These efforts led to the apprehension of 38 individuals violating labor and residency laws, with 139 violators subsequently deported. The inspections identified various breaches of regulating laws, particularly those related to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Residency Laws in Bahrain. Legal actions were taken to address the observed violations.

The LMRA disclosed that 1,436 inspection visits were conducted in diverse shops across all governorates, along with 31 joint inspection campaigns. These joint efforts involved multiple government entities, such as the Ministry of Interior (Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence, Sentence Enforcement Directorate, and respective Police Directorates), as well as the Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and Capital Municipality.

Emphasizing ongoing collaboration with government agencies, the LMRA aims to intensify inspection campaigns throughout the Kingdom's governorates. The authority is dedicated to addressing any violations that impact the stability and competitiveness of the labor market or jeopardize the economic and social security of the Kingdom.

In its continued outreach, the LMRA urges the public to support government efforts by reporting illegal labor practices through its website, www.lmra.gov.bh, or by contacting the call center at 17506055. Reports can also be submitted through the government’s Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul).
