Lieutenant-General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, inaugurated a workshop organized by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, focusing on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology to monitor and improve recovery rates from addiction.

Al Hassan expressed appreciation for the Interior Minister's support for enhancing security, law enforcement, and crime prevention within the Interior Ministry's various directorates. He emphasized the importance of adopting advanced programs and modern technologies, including AI, in Ministry services. Al Hassan highlighted the success and effectiveness of these technologies in automating processes and analyzing large-scale data, bringing numerous benefits.

Noting Bahrain's qualified human competencies, he emphasized the potential to leverage these technologies for the success of the national AI project. He commended the Recovery program of the General Directorate for winning the Stevie International Award, recognizing its contribution to helping addicts recover and providing valuable services internationally.

Wishing success to the workshop, Al Hassan thanked Brigadier Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi, the Director-General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, along with the project's supervision and workshop organizers. Meanwhile, Brigadier Al Rumaihi highlighted the uniqueness of the national project, using AI to monitor and improve addiction recovery rates, aiming to employ AI capabilities in understanding factors affecting addicts' behavior for informed decision-making at individual and national levels.
