Café Fined For Flouting COVID-19 Measures

A café and its director have been fined BD2,000 and BD1,000 respectively for flouting the mandatory precautionary measures.
The Public Health Directorate reported the café which was found in breach of the mandatory measures.
The café did not enforce the required distance between tables, served Sheesha and exceeded the 5% capacity for each table and failed to check customers’ temperature.
The café was shut down and the Public Prosecution referred the two accused to the Criminal Court which issued the aforementioned ruling, said the Chief Prosecutor of ministries and public institutions.
