BTEA Hails Cabinet Decision To Support Tourism Sector

Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTEA) has hailed the decision by the Cabinet to exempt tourism facilities from paying tourism fees for three months starting January.
BTEA Chief Executive Officer Nasser Ali Qaedi said the decision, takn in light of a comprehensive and continuous review of the economic sectors in general, and those most affected in particular, reflects Bahrain's care and interest in mitigating the economic impact of COVID-19 on tourism facilities.
Exempting tourism establishments from tourism service fees for the first quarter of 2021 will contribute to enhancing opportunities for economic stability, financial sustainability and rapid recovery of the tourism sector, he added.
