Bahrain Approves Emergency Use Of AstraZeneca Vaccine

The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) approved the emergency use of AstraZeneca vaccine against the COVID-19 yesterday. It is the third emergency vaccine approved in the Kingdom of Bahrain after Sinopharm and Pfizer/BioNTech.
The study published by AstraZeneca showed that the vaccine is safe and has overall efficacy of 70.42% after the second dose.
AstraZeneca is a British-Swedish multinational pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company with its headquarters in Cambridge, England.
The vaccine is produced in cooperation with the University of Oxford and manufactured at the Cerum Institute of India.
