MP Calls To Ban Drinks Introduced For Breastfeeding Children

A parliamentarian yesterday called on the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and the Ministry of Health to take immediate actions against drinks introduced for breastfeeding children.
MP Ahmed Al-Ansari termed such practices as “contradictory to the values of the Bahraini society”, in addition to causing severe health issues, especially in light of the deadly Covid-19 outbreak. He said that these trends are extraneous, which are also rejected by citizens.
“They must be addressed immediately and not be lenient with them under any justification” Al-Ansari said the Department of Economic Development in Dubai had banned drinks in nurseries to limit the spread of the Covid-19.
